The Timberoo Wooden Floor Coating Process
Our timber floor polishing experts first remove the existing old floor coating and then, depending on what style of coating the client has selected, we will apply either 2 or 3 coats using a brush and roller method. The timber floor will be ready to walk on 24 hours after the coating has been applied.
How long the coating process takes depends on the size of flooring being coated and the weather. For example, 100m2 usually takes about 5 days to complete.
The wood floor coating and sheen used depends on various factors such as what level of lighting is received internally from windows and light fixtures and who occupies the premises. For instance, certain sheens are better to use if a home contains pets or has high foot traffic.
