Sanding & Coating

• We offer a guaranteed 95% dust-free sanding service for your floor.

• For any project it is necessary to determine the most appropriate alternatives, consider the desired visual effect and limitations of the coating system. Systems include penetrating oils and hard wax oils with low VOC’s, water based single and two pack polyurethanes. We also specialise in staining timber and can achieve a colour that suits you and your floor. With coatings it is about finding the right balance including appearance, durability, maintenance, health and safety aspects that we take into consideration when assisting our clients during the selection process.

Floor Care

To keep your floor looking great it is important to take good care of it by using the right products and taking the correct precautions. We can help advise you on the best strategy to suit you floor.

A regular cleaning program will assist in keeping your floors looking at their best for longer.  An electrostatic mop should be used to sweep up dust and dirt from your floor.  In addition your floors will benefit from a damp mop only.  Never wet or steam mop a timber as you can introduce moisture which may result in excessive movement or cupping.  harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners are also to be replaced with a neutral PH wood floor cleaning product such as the Oates Spray mop.

Tips to maintain:

• Wait for 3 days before moving furniture onto your floor.

• Place felt pads under all chairs and furniture.

• Keep door mats clean and in good condition.

• Promptly clean all spills and leaks.

• Reduce intense direct sunlight with tinting or window coverings.

• Wait at least 1 month before placing rugs.

• Rotate rugs as the floor will fade, darken or change shades over time.

• Refinish your floor before it wears through to avoid sanding costs.
